Part Name change in the Assembly.

Part Name change in the Assembly.

Part Name change in the Assembly.

(OP)

Hi,

I have an Piping Assembly contains 500 parts,
I need to change the file name of few parts specifically.
Hence i done the rename(F2) & the part name attribute also updated. Then I replaced the part file in the assembly according to the new name.
Eventhogh the assembly constraints shows the old name (not the new name).
Hence i reconstrainted again. Since we are following master model concept, the same assembly is called in the other file and done the drafting.
But in the drafting file, the part name attribute shows old name.

Please suggest is there any specific way to change the part name, if its used in the assembly(other than cloning).

RE: Part Name change in the Assembly.

Are you using a PDM/PLM system (such as Teamcenter)?

If you are not using PDM/PLM, do you want to change the file name or just the component name as it shows up in the assembly navigator?

Ok, and do you want to change the file name or just the component name as it shows up in the assembly navigator?
