stochiometric calculations

I have a doubt on the stochiometric calculation of a combustion reaction of H2S only. My feed is described in scfm. So is it correct if I consider scfm%=mol%, in the feed for my further calculation. I am eagarly waiting for your reply

RE: stochiometric calculations

Absolutely.

Good luck,
Latexman

RE: stochiometric calculations

1 lb mol = 379.5 SCF
A Standard Cubic Foot is a cubic foot of gas at Standard conditions: 60°F (520 R) and 1 atm (14.7 psia).

Ideal gas law PV = nRT

V = n * RT/P
V (Standard Cubic Foot) = 1 lbmol * 10.73 psia-ft3/R-lbmol * 520 R / 14.7 psia = 379.5 SCF

So mol% = SCF%
