Pressure / Vacuum Valve Question.
Pressure / Vacuum Valve Question.
(OP)
Hi everyone,
I work for a company that repair, test and certify all types of pressure safety valves.
I do a lot of spring and pilot valves, but have recently came across low pressure weighted valves. I was just wondering if there was a calculation to estimate the amount of weight (including the pallet) to enable the valve to lift at a certain pressure.
I was thinking along the lines of a transposition of formula maybe (Pressure = force / area), but I am not quite sure, and with it being a safety device I am unwiling to try something with out some sort of a clue.
I thought someone may have an excel file with the calculation, mabe not.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

RE: Pressure / Vacuum Valve Question.
I thought a company that repairs, tests and certifies all types of pressure safety valves would have expertise in this area.
Good luck,
