Radiography(RT) requirement of Steam accumulator

Radiography(RT) requirement of Steam accumulator

Radiography(RT) requirement of Steam accumulator

ASME VIII Div 1 requires full radiography on all butt welds on shell and heads of unfired steam boilers higher than 50 psi. Should this requirement be applied to steam accumulator as well? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

RE: Radiography(RT) requirement of Steam accumulator

No, a boiler is a vessel where steam is produced, so it must be an exchanger of some kind.
