Part List Properties

(OP)
Hello,

Can someone tell me which property is used to define if a part is a "part", "pipe", "pipe fitting" of "frame member"? Can I add a custom property to our own parts library, so i can filter my partlist this way?

Thx, Johan

RE: Part List Properties

I would have thought pipes and pipe fittings would be defined by the fact thay they are plaved in the piping environment.
Similarly frame members would be created by the frames environment.
Parts would be just placed normally.

And is there a way to make a normal part act as a "pipe" or "pipe fitting", a way to let SE known that this part is in fact a "pipe" or "pipe fitting"?

RE: Part List Properties

I wouldn't think so - it's not that the part has any particular type, just how they are placed in the assembly.
Xpresroute would place 'pipe or pipe-fitting components, Frames would place frame type components.
