thermal transfer of copper braid

(OP)
Wondering if anyone has prior experience with cooling with copper braids? I have a OFHC copper block that is 100mm x 20mm x 20mm  being hit with 30 watts of x-rays. I am cooling this block via indirect cooling with copper braid . There are 4 copper braids that are 1/4" dia and 6 " long.  ( connected to a copper shaft that is water cooled to 10C ) I would like to know how long  will it take for  this block to equalize its temperature once the x-rays hit the block. In the past this block was cooled directly a water circuit and this time was a few minutes. Now because of the less efficient copper braid I am betting 30 minutes or so...
Thanks
