Tubing centerline data in V5

Tubing centerline data in V5

Tubing centerline data in V5

(OP)
Is there  a way to analyze a tube or pipe and determine tube bend data, i.e. bend points, bend radii, angles etc?  If I use "Measure" I get info on the solid, such as the tube volume.  I have also tried to use the "Report" function but not sure if this can be used to extract tube geometry info.
Also I am wondering how manufacturing extracts this data to build the tube.
thanks-
Kelly

RE: Tubing centerline data in V5

Hello;
If you do a TUBEBENDABLE you can see the center line in a CATPart.
To get th data in order to make de CNC program you can get in touch with TUBE EXPERT, this company has a very interesting utilities.

Thanks very much, I'll try that.

RE: Tubing centerline data in V5

Hello.
Check out the V5 on-line documentation page "Extracting Bending Data from Bendable Pipes and Tubes".
This explains how to use the Catia supplied PslTubingExtract.CATScript and PslTubingExtractTemplate.xls to generate bend data tables.

Have'nt got it working on UNIX yet!
OK if using Windows ???
