How to model Unreinforced Masonry wall (hollow concrete blocks)

(OP)
Hi,

I have a one story URM building that I have to analyse using ETABS. How do you model the walls in ETABS ?

The unreinforced masonry consists of 12'' hollow concrete blocks. If I use a SHELL element of 12'', it will act as a plain concrete wall, what do I need to change to have an unreinforced behavior ?

thank you for any help

RE: How to model Unreinforced Masonry wall (hollow concrete blocks)

You better model with none property beam in place of masonary wall having line load equivalent to actual one.
