Power quality analyzers

(OP)
Hello,
I am looking for a power quality analyzer to bring to site with me.  I am looking to do harmonic analysis and need to be able to store and transfer the info to a computer.

I am looking at the Fluke 43B power quality analyzer.  Unfortunately I cannot find it anywhere for under 3 grand.  Does anyone know of any suitable replacements that have what I need?

Oh and BTW I live in Edmonton.

Thanks,

Daniel.

RE: Power quality analyzers

You can always rent.  Try Accutech or Cat Rentals in Edmonton.

RE: Power quality analyzers

Voltech have some nice analysers, Yokogawa also have a couple of reaonable ones. Maybe renting would be the best option if this is a one-off job, otherwise ya pays what ya pays....

RE: Power quality analyzers

43B is really 3 grand?  I recall getting mine ~2001 for about $1800 US.

Its a nice meter and in watts mode (harmonics), can also do phase angle. Volts / Amps

I made a modified 10x (or something like that), so I could also do voltage / voltage phase measurements.

I commission all over the place and rent everything now.  One benefit is that you will get a recent calibration certificate with the rental, which comes in handy.
