Nx5 batch PDF export?

Nx5 batch PDF export?

Nx5 batch PDF export?

(OP)
Does anyone know if it's possible to write a script, or if UG nativly supports doing batch file exports?

We've been real busy with work from our customers lately, juggling 3-5 projects between only a few people and our customers will sometimes ask us to send them a bunch of PDF files for a particular project (and they have to be named in a specific way).

Sometimes this can be quite inconvenient as all of us are already knee deep in a few other fires, that we now need to devert our attention away from them to take care of this request.

So, with that said, is it possible to write some sort of automated script that will write out 'X' parts to PDF files and give it a certain naming convention?

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks a lot
Steve

RE: Nx5 batch PDF export?

Here are a few threads that talk about batch pdf exports:
thread561-292978: BATCH OUT PDF FILES ?
thread561-296306: Journal to automate pdf export

If you search the forum, you'll probably find a few more that interest you. The journal I made was for NX6, I'm not sure if it works on NX5; there are at least 2 other such journals written by other users, perhaps one of them will work for you. I doubt any of them will meet your needs exactly, but it will give you a good starting point.
