Transformer winding temperature trip.

RE: Transformer winding temperature trip.

We used to specify a Temp Monitor unit from Qualitrol, but now we use the Schweitzer SEL-2414.  We have outputs for both alarm and trip functions.  So yes, we do trip the transformer on high winding and/or oil temp.

Thanks a lot David for information.

This is important part :
The SEL-2414 Transformer Monitor withstands harsh physical and electrical environments and is built and tested to meet mission-critical IEEE and IEC protective relay standards.

RE: Transformer winding temperature trip.
