HYDROLISIS OF ESTER OF HIDROGENATED ROSIN

(OP)
Hi.

Thanks

RE: HYDROLISIS OF ESTER OF HIDROGENATED ROSIN

Is it possible to reverse the esterification of ... what?
That is, you are trying to produce what?  from what??
What is your goal?  Perhaps clarifying the question and providing more info will help.
Cheers, and good luck.

RE: HYDROLISIS OF ESTER OF HIDROGENATED ROSIN

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but the simplest way to undo an ester is via saponification.  If you can be more specific as to what your ester is and what you are concerned with recovering (alcohol, fatty acid or both) I can give you far more specific instructions.
