Flip/Re-orient plane
Flip/Re-orient plane
(OP)
When creating a parallel plane from a surface you can choose which orientation you want by pressing the "F" key before creating the plane.
When creating a sketch on the surface you are re-oriented to the front view of the plane.
Is there a way to flip the plane after it has been created? Is there a way to simply sketch on the back side of the plane to view it in the other direction?
I'm sure this question has come up before but when searching I did not come across an answer.

RE: Flip/Re-orient plane
I mean you can rotate the sketch plain/part to the approximate view you want and then 'snap to common views' but if you exit the sketch and then come back, it will be to the 'front view'.
What is Engineering anyway: FAQ1088-1484: In layman terms, what is "engineering"?
RE: Flip/Re-orient plane
Snapping to common views has always been my workaround. As of recently I've been paying more attention to the Promptbar and I've noticed that even when creating just a sketch you're also given the "F," "N," and "B" commands to work with. It doesn't seem to do so with reference planes, but it does with planar faces, which is what I am typically working from anyways.

Angle should be 180°.
