Advise regarding API 570 certification

(OP)
Dear all,

i am a mechanical engineer, with only two and half years of experience in maintenance of staionary equipments including process piping. But currently i am in a bit confused state, one of my friend suggested to me to do API 570 certification. so i ask you all to give me a suggestion, whether this would really help me with my career.

RE: Advise regarding API 570 certification

Even if you do not 'use' your 570 by signing documentation as the Inspector-of-Record, it will be proof-of-education and expertise.  I would do it, if I was a young engineer.
