NX7.5 Drafting - How to attach GD&T Datum to cylindrical surface?
NX7.5 Drafting - How to attach GD&T Datum to cylindrical surface?
(OP)
I have finally gotten around to posting this question after years of faking the following task. I have not been able to attach a GD&T Datum to a surface that is cylindrical (I.E.: The flat end of a shaft.), but instead to get around this issue I would Expand the view, add a line, and then attach the Datum to the new line.
Am I missing something or is this the only way to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance for the help.

When I am able I attach the datum to a dimension extension line.
I am interested in hearing what others have done too.

When selecting the Leader 'Terminating Object' use QuickPick to get the actual 'Line' (Silhouette Curve) object as shown above. Or simply use either the 'Control Point' or the 'Point on Curve' Snap Point options (but NOT the 'Point on Face').
