ADA Compliant Bathroom - ANSI A117.1

ADA Compliant Bathroom - ANSI A117.1

(OP)
Hello,
Does anyone know of a good summary diagram for an ADA compliant bathroom in a highrise office building in NYC? I believe it would have to comply with ANSI A117.1?

Sincerely,
Brian

RE: ADA Compliant Bathroom - ANSI A117.1

Unless NYC has their own specific requirements which enhance ADA, the Federal standards apply.  Your local building official and/or a ton of websites all have this info.  Google will come up with a bunch of hits.

I've had to deal with ADA compliance in my own restaurant rehab project and on a church rehab project in which I was a committee member.  It's not as restrictive and difficult to comply as one would first think.

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.
