I am trying to model a palnut and need to sweep a curve around a helix while staying tangent to the top surface.  It is kind of hard to explain so I have attached the model I have started.  I figured I could create the top surface as a sheet then thicken it.  If you know of an easier way please let me know.  Thanks.

RE: Sweep curve around helix shape

Use the free form 'swept' command. For the orientation method, choose 'vector direction' and choose the axis of the helix. This option will keep the section from twisting as it follows the helix around.

Yes, that is what I was trying to do.  Thanks for the help.
