Impact Testing Standards

(OP)
Does anyone have suggestions regarding product testing for impact?  I am familiar with Izod/Charpy tests.  This product is a small plastic device which is attached to items with fasteners, rivets, adhesive, etc.

We plan to market this device to the material handling industry, under M10 auspices.  We would like to perform mechanical testing to satisfy their requirements.

RE: Impact Testing Standards

I'm not familiar with Izod Sharpy but I've seen the impact tests used by Volvo to test out their dummies. Typically they use a heavy cylinder suspended at the midpoint from  a hanging rod. The cylinder is swung back to a certain height and then let free to impact the test object. The kinetic energy released on impact is just mgh. Hope this helps you out.
