Workgroup PDM- How to put Vault on network drive?

(OP)
My company wants to start using Workgroup PDM. We have a network hard drive in the office that all of the computers are connected to and we'd like to put the Vault there. So far I have only been able to get a vault up and running on a local machine. how can i relocate the vault to the external drive?

We don't have a server. Just a shared external hard drive that gets backed up by carbonite. Our storage drive does not have a screen/cd drive/keyboard etc

RE: Workgroup PDM- How to put Vault on network drive?

Simply move the folder VaultData the external drive
Then change the vault location to point to the External drive
I have used a setup like this so I know it's possible, but I did only have 1 Laptop connected to the external drive
Hope this helps

Workgroup PDM is one of the easy PDM's to install and use, IMO.  It's about the only one I know of where you can just copy a folder tree around and still use it with only a couple of setting changes.
