Solidworks Property Tab Builder Query

Solidworks Property Tab Builder Query

Solidworks Property Tab Builder Query

(OP)
Hi,

I'm trying to create my own drawing templates.
I have an existing drawing template (created in 2005) which I want to edit, change the custom properties and save as my own drawing template.

Clicking on File\Properties shows the Custom Properties for the original template which i presume was taken from the properties.txt file
ie when you look at the custom properties all the cells are populated with info or requiring input.

How can I link the existing drawing template to a new properties file xxxxxxx.drwprp created with the property tab builder?

I've changed the file locations in settings to the new xxxxxxx.drwprp location but when i look at File\Properties it shows the original information.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Solidworks Property Tab Builder Query

You have two options.
1. You can change the linked annotations/properties in the drawing template to match the drwprp file. or
2. modify the names in the drwprp file to match the drawing template. (Whichever is easy)
I would modify the drwprp file to match drawing template, because you may have different size templates.
