Laser welding-- surface temp and spot size in Ti64

(OP)
I would like to have a strip of Ti64 (cross section .7 x 4 mm) welded to a block 3 mm thick. I would like to run a seam (.2 mm deep) down the 4 mm length (from A to B in the attached image). My question is at what point along the thickness (t) of the part will the temp drop down to below 100C? 2x the spot size?
