Head loss at an inlet baffle
Head loss at an inlet baffle
(OP)
I am trying to find an equation that I can use to calculate the head loss at an inlet flow distribution baffle of a center feed circular clarifier. Most part of the baffle will be submerged. The influent will enter the clarifier through the center column travel upwards, leave the center column through four circular opening radically outwards, pass under the inlet distribution baffle before travelling radially out towards the peripheral effluent weirs. Any feedback will be highly appreciated.

You will find that most of us here are much better with drawings than with words. A sketch would enable more informed comment.
