How do I delete a drawing sheet attribute that I created.

How do I delete a drawing sheet attribute that I created.

How do I delete a drawing sheet attribute that I created.

(OP)
Hi Guys, Me again,

I created a drawing sheet for use in NX 7.5 and I placed down this attribute: <W@$SH_MASTER_PART_NAME>

Everything works 100% as it reads and populates the models part name, but now I want to delete this attribute.

And my problem, is that when I open the Drawing sheet template to edit it, I cannot see this attribute as it is typed, it's as if it's hidden and only displays when reading the model name, how do I select it so that I can hit the delete button?

Thanks in advance!!

RE: How do I delete a drawing sheet attribute that I created.

BTW, we don't refer to these types of text entries as 'attributes'.  Attributes are something different altogether.  Something like <W@$SH_MASTER_PART_NAME> is an example of what we call 'Automatic Text'.

Now back to your 'problem'...

OK, open your Drawing Template file in Modeling, NOT Drafting, and then add any other part file as a Component.  Now swtich to Drafting and turn on the display of the Drawing and you will see your note showing the name of the part file you just added as a Component.  Select and delete the note.  Now go back to Modeling, DELETE the Component and then save your Drawing Template file.  You should be good to go.
