Is fujifilm pressure film the same concept as articulating paper? what are the differences?

RE: Is fujifilm pressure film the same concept as articulating paper?

If the pressure sensitive film you are talking about is this stuff:

Then the simple difference is:  articulating paper just shows points of contact by smearing of the inked/waxed/dyed surface.  The pressure sensitive film changes in density in a manner proportional to the surface pressure applied.

Articulating paper is what your dentist uses when he wants to "shave" off a tooth so your bite will fit...
