BS4659 Bo1 Compressive Properties

(OP)
Hi there!!

Am new to this Forum.

I am looking to find the compressive properties of the Steel listed in the title. This is so I can design a specimen to fit a Wyoming Combined Loading Compression jig. We are hoping to use the steel to provide a standard to check the reliability of the jig which is predominantly used for composite testing.
Ideally the specimens need to be 140mm long, 12.75mm width with around 2-3mm thickness. However the thickness is variable depending on whether the specimens pass Eulers Buckling Theory, so therefore to work out the size, i need to know some of the values needed in this formula!!

So if anyone has any information to help, I would be most appreciative.

Thanks!!

RE: BS4659 Bo1 Compressive Properties

It is wide acceptable to use tension properties as compression. So google it's mechanical properties should have a bunch online.
