Power Factor Correction for Guitar Amplifiers.
Power Factor Correction for Guitar Amplifiers.
(OP)
Hi,
How may i find out what are the regulations in EU and USA regarding Power Factor Correction of Guitar Amplifiers for plugging in to household mains?
Is it true that Guitar Amplifiers of nominal power around 300-400W, are exempted from Power Factor Correction Laws because there average power is so low.?
If Power Factor Correction Laws do apply to such guitar amplifiers....then how are the currently sold guitar amplifiers (of power 300-400W) in EU and USA getting away without having Power Factor Correction?
(-Becauise i have taken then apart and seen that they do not have Power Factor Correction)
-Does it mean that they self-accredited in there own accredited EMC lab>?
