Advantages 64 bit NX over 32 bit NX
Advantages 64 bit NX over 32 bit NX
(OP)
Is there any difference between 32 bit and 64 bit NX (not OS). I have a 64 bit machine, but a 32 bit NX installed in it. Should we go for a 64 bit version of NX? We have 32 bit machines as well as 64 bit machines, where the parts created will be opened/worked in either of the machines, are there any known issues by using such mixed environment? Is there any performance advantage that we get if we use a 64 bit NX, instead of 32 bit NX on a 64 bit machine.

In terms of NX there are some things that aren't supported on the 64bit version. Search through the release notes for "NX applications unsupported on specific platforms". That will list what I'm referring to.
The main reason though to use NX64 bit is to allow more RAm to be used. We find that customers who are using the 64bit version don't see the out of memory errors they used to in the past. Especially noticeable on assemblies or when generating CAM toolpaths.
