Hi all,

So we issued this purchase order for the supply of pipe fittings, namely tees and elbows, made from the same material.

Anyways the supplier submitted two separate MTCs for the said material; one MTC for the tees and the another for the elbows, both had different heat numbers however both MTCs had the same reference number.

Is this legitimate ?? shouldn't each MTC have a unique reference number since the parts supplied were of different nature (elbow vs tee) ? just wondering.

MTR's can have numerous ht#'s and parts on a single order # / certificate #.  It is common to see elbows and tees on the same MTR.  Ht #'s can even be the same if made from the same raw batch of material.
