Extrude does not create a bottom or top

Extrude does not create a bottom or top

Hi,

Not sure what I am doing wrong!

I have a dxf file I am using to create solids from. It has been working fine but this one part will not extrude and create a complete solid, it only extrudes the perimeter. I have tried a bunch of things but I have had no luck.

Any help would be great!

Thank you

Hockeyguy

RE: Extrude does not create a bottom or top

Check the setting for extrude solid/sheet.
Check that you are getting a closed boundry for the extrude.

In addition to what looslib said, also check to see if the geometry you are using is planar. NX is somewhat forgiving on this point, but if the geometry is too far out of plane you will only get a sheet body as you described.

RE: Extrude does not create a bottom or top

Does the DXF file have some small gaps?  The end points not meeting ECT?
