RE: How to set the sketcher dimensioning standards

That depends, at least to some extent, on what version NX you're using...

I am working on UG NX 7.5.0.32

RE: How to set the sketcher dimensioning standards

My solution is that you take a NX class first.

RE: How to set the sketcher dimensioning standards

OK, In NX 7.5, the default Sketch 'Dimensioning style' is pre-set using the normal Preferences -> Annotation... dialogs accessed while in the Drafting module.  Once set there, they will effect all new Sketches being created in the part file, be it either a Modeling or a Drafting Sketch.  Note that if you change the Drafting Annotation option after a Sketch has already been created, this will have NO effect on any existing Sketch dimensions, but it will affect any new Sketches created or any new dimensions added to an existing Sketch.

Now if you wish to edit the annotation options of existing dimensions, you will need to do that using the Edit -> Style... function and select the Sketch dimension objects that you wish to change/edit.

Thank you very much John for your reply. This solution  is kind of file specific. Is there a way I can save the standards and use them repeatedly.

RE: How to set the sketcher dimensioning standards

That's why we recommend that you use Template Files.  Get the templates right and then when you do a File -> New... the part file that's 'created' will have everything set the way you want it set.
