Mitsubishi, CC Link System, Opinions Please

(OP)
We have been making a machine for several years that is crying out for distributed I/O, and we expect a new order in the next few months. I want to try the new I/O layout, instead of the multicore cables running out to the various parts of the machine. Our standard PLC is Mitsi A2SH series, and I have been reading the brochures on Mitsi's own CC Link system, which they are advocating for fieldbus systems, but it seems fairly unknown out in the wide world.
My question is - has anybody any experiance of the system, good or bad? We are a UK based company, exporting to Europe and beyond, eastwards.
Thanks in advance for any responses.
