upgrading
upgrading
(OP)
OK, I need help upgrading NX.
a previous thread said the heirarchy is:
Full release (7.0.0.0) - check
Point release (7.5.0.0) - check
Maint Release (7.5.4.0) - cannot find
Maint Pack (7.5.4.4) - downloaded
I understand that.
I downloaded the 7.5.4.4 Maint release and Maintenance pack, both say I need to upgrade to the base program of 7.5.4.0 before installing. Where do I find the base program 7.5.4.0? All I can find in GTAC is 7.5.4.4 (they say 7.5.4 but it is really 7.5.4.4)

RE: upgrading
Also, there is NO such thing as NX 7.5.4.0. There is however an NX 7.5.4.4 release, which is an MR, or Maintenance Release, for NX 7.5.0. So if your goal is to install NX 7.5.4.4 you must first install, from scratch, NX 7.5.0. Note that NX 7.5.0 is intended to replace NX 7.0.0 and while it is possible to run both simultaneously on the same system, once you start to create/save part files using NX 7.5.0 you will NOT be able to open those files using NX 7.0.0.
Also note that in order to install and run NX 7.5.0 you will need to get an updated license sheet since it cannot run on the some licence sheet which you were issued when you installed NX 7.0.0, however NX 7.0.0 will still be able to run once the new license sheet is enabled since older versions of NX can run on newer license sheets, at least if you don't try going back further than NX 5.0.
Anyway, I hope that clears things up a bit for you.
