Dears,
we have a problem in out package boiler that it has hotspot in sight glass. The high temperature 560ºC found only in edges of the sight glass.
please advise me, whether i have to recommend for shutdown and repair the boiler or keep running boiler at the same temperature

yes i measured the temperature and it is more than 560deg C. when we provide cooling with steam it came down to 480 deg C. we are sure that it is leaking. my question is that is it ok to run the boiler at this condition.

Is this the drum level sight glass or a furnace viewing sight glass?
