Broken Links

Broken Links

Broken Links

(OP)
Hi. I am transitioning to 7.5 from 6.

I am noticing that sometimes, for whatever reason, my linked subtracts won't update when I move the parent component. (Fastener tools are linked in associative checked on and then subtracted)

I will move the fastener, and the linked subtract will not update. I look in the tree and it shows the link still live.

I don't get it. I have update set to continuous and all levels in preferences.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Adam

RE: Broken Links

Smarter people than I will probably respond, but here's what we've seen. The same thing happens to us a lot. The workaround for us has been to go into the links and toggle the "Fix at current timestamp". This udpates the links. We don't have the advanced wave license and I wonder if that has something to do with this problem. Hopwfully someone will give you and me a better explanation.

Thanks John. It's good to know that it's not something I'm doing wrong. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's a major pain cause It seems to be all or nothing. Then I have to go and update every link and hopefully I catch them all.
