Masonry lintel span tables

I seem to recall seeing some span tables for load bearing masonry lintels, and I believe the book was issued by MSJC. Can anyone please tell me the name of this design guide so that I can buy it for my office!

jtx, muchas gracias, that's exactly what I was looking for.

RE: Masonry lintel span tables

In practice on your drawings do you have a schedule and details showing pre-cast lintels and loading info? I know some people just copy and paste in manufacturers tables, which is more or less what we have done, and then require the contractor supplies a lintel that meets or exceeds the lintel type and allowable loads.

I think the O.P. is referring to masonry lintels and not pre-cast lintels.

It could be because of appearance and continuity the the remainder of the structure.

Even if the lintels a 16" to 48" deep, the principles in the NCMA TEK notes could be used or available upon request because the engineers that write and review the TEKs and have been involved in writing the MSJC standards from day 1.

The australian masonry association has something similar. I'll try and find and post when I get home.
