Fundamental Period

Fundamental Period

(OP)
Hello,

I am working on a parametric research study concerning the fundamental period of moment resisting frame structures.  I am designing the structure for self-weight, cladding, live, wind, and static EQ load, then determining the period from the modal analysis.  However, in each case I seem to be getting a period at least twice as large as what I should be getting (~1.5 seconds for a 5 story structure, ~3.4 for a 10 story structure.)  My mass source is defined as from self and specified mass.  Is there anything that I could be neglecting?  I tried using the 'set time period targets,' however it did not change period at all.  I'm new to ETABS, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  The file is attached.

Regards,
Kelly
