nxplotadmin in NX7.0

nxplotadmin in NX7.0

(OP)
Greetings all.
I'm trying to plot a drawing from the drafting module in NX7.0. When I run nxplotadmin, I see the plotters listed (HP510 and HP5si), but when I try to select the plotter from the list (in the plot window), all I see is TIFF, JPG, EMF, CGM and PNG. I'm certain, judging from past NX versions, the plotters should appear in this list.
I'd love to contact GTAC, but my company, in their infinite wisdom, has dropped maintenance. I'm hoping someone here can help.

RE: nxplotadmin in NX7.0

You need to set an environment variable so that NX can see the available plotters. This, in my opinion, is very poorly documented in the NX documentation. There is a FAQ in this forum that discusses this a bit. If you do a search of the forum you will find some older posts with information about this also. There is a document out there that was put out for NX3 that describes the procedure very well but I don't have access to it right now from this computer. You should be able to find it with a thorough search of this forum. Perhaps someone can add it as a link in the FAQ.
