Elbolets

Greetings all, I am wanting to confirm that I can buy elbolets to fit a 3D elow, rather than the standard 1.5D elow.

Looking through some of the websites of suppliers it certainly implies this is the case, but have found no actual information comfirming this. I would like to confirm people have bought/used them before I include them in my spec.

Many thanks

RE: Elbolets

I would suggest calling the supplier that made this statment.

This way you have accurate information straight from the horses mouth.

Just my two cents worth.

A question properly stated is a problem half solved.

Always remember, free advice is worth exactly what you pay for it!

RE: Elbolets

The answer is yes.  Elbowlets are made to accomodate a range of Ell sizes.  If you boy an elbowlet rated for 4" thru 12", it will fit on a 6" 3D ell, and probably an 8" 3D ell.  For installation, my welders seem to prefer too 'flat' rather than too 'curved'.  They feel that they are easier to get the required Full-Penetration root into.

Hi Colonelsanders83

Have emailed a number of suppliers on this but have received the usual stunned silence that I usually get with suppliers, which is whay I have posted this query here. At least if someone can tell me they have used them then I know they exist.

Duwe6, Thanks for confirming that for me.
