EN 545 Ductile Iron Pipe European Practice

(OP)
My question relates to what class of pipes the European Water Authorities are adopting for buried transmission lines using DICL manufactured to EN 545.

The primary concern appears to be the stiffness of the lower classes viz. C25 in terms of ovality in the trench. More conservative authorities may specify high classes to ensures that the trades produce a higher quality work without supervision.

For installations with a high level of supervision , on site geotech engineer and quality contractor the class may be reduced but I would like references.

I would appreciate supporting documents such as specifications or practice references rather than anecdotal evidence and opinions.

Thank you in anticipation.
