Hi Gents
I am Facing problem with handling sulfuric acid 98% (may be diluted) at ambient temperature (from 4C t0 50C), what is the best nonmetallic material to be used for pipes one inch and two inches

RE: nonmetallic material to handle Sulfuric acid

PTFE is probably best but expensive.

PE is cheaper and should be good.

PP will work for a while but they get attacked, crack and fail.

Thanks alot Gents
what about Carbon steel pipe lined with PFA (perfluroalkoxy)

RE: nonmetallic material to handle Sulfuric acid

If it's lined then it doesn't matter what the pipe is made of unless you expect to scratch through the lining.
