Sodium Sulfite Solution Shelf Life Improvement

(OP)
Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find a way to store 85000 L of a 15% weight Sodium Sulfite solution in a tank for about 6-7 days.  I've gotten mixed reviews on whether or not the solution will last that long without degrading to Sulfate.  My initial two thoughts were to either install a vacuum blower with a check valve on top of the tank to remove the oxygen before water is added to the powdered sulfite and keep the oxygen out for the 7 days, or to possibly pad the tank with Nitrogen (more expensive).

If anybody knows an easier solution or could tell me from experience if the solution will last on its own for the 7 days that would be real helpful.

Thanks,
Bryan
