Boiler Steam Treatment Tip

Boiler Steam Treatment Tip

Boiler Steam Treatment Tip

(OP)
Our plant has a corrosion problem due to the CO2 condensing into carbonic acid. We wouldn't hesitate to treat it with various chemicals but our steam is used in another plant to make a drug and they use steam in the production of the drug.

Looking through different products I found a company called B&V Own Label Products. They create a wide variety of treatment chemicals and I found one that is FDA approved and prevents corrosion. It is crazy when you think of the different applications for simple compounds like fatty acids.

This is just a helpful tip if you are having the same problem. Also, let me know if you have any more ideas that could fix our problem.
