MIL-STD-810

MIL-STD-810

MIL-STD-810

(OP)
I would like to know how to understand the data found for vibration of equipment mounted on top of M113 Armoured personel Carrier. In MIL-STD-810E page 514.4-A82 (Table 514.4-AXVII) some vibration levels are listed. A time of 45. minutes is listed along with them. On page 514.4-A88 (Table 514.4-AXXIII) the test duration is given as 270 min. A comment at the bottom of the table says: "The test duration for each of three axes are based on 45 minutes of laboratory vibration being equivalent to 1600km of vehicle transport."

To do an endurance test according to the vibration levels in MIL-STD-810 and limit the test time to 45 minutes, do I have to scale the levels in table 514.4-AXVII, or can I use them as is???

Also I notice that the level tables are no longer in the F version of the standard. Why is that??

Any MIL-STD experts out there?

Thanks

Bernt

RE: MIL-STD-810

Dear Sir,

"Tailoring is esseantial" for MIL-STD-810. So you can scale vibration level and time.

But you have to do fatigue scaling.
