Error placing a dimension

Error placing a dimension

Error placing a dimension

(OP)
Hi all,

Has anyone else come across this before? When placing a dimension an message comes up

Dimension : fail to open data file

I'm sure it is something to do with the site user setting but other machines (although 32 bit) are fine.

RE: Error placing a dimension

You need to provide a lot more information than that.

I've got the log file, something similar is logged on GTAC but hasn't been resolved. It's only happening when trying to look at site standards.

RE: Error placing a dimension

If GTAC is working on it, then I would wait for them to follow-up with you as that's the official mechanism for issues like this.

RE: Error placing a dimension

have you redirected the UGII_DRAFTING_STANDARD_DIR?

OK, I was just curious to see if anyone on here had seen that error message before when trying to dimension as it's a new one to me.

Hi,

The error occurred after linking to the site user setting in the "start_manager.bat" file. This is in line with the 32bit machines onsite and they all work without any problems. If the lines are removed drafting seems to work normally but the machine loses the link to the site settings.
