Issues with Custom Part in 2011 SW Toolbox

Issues with Custom Part in 2011 SW Toolbox

(OP)
I recently have been creating hardware parts that aren't in the SW Toolbox. I have been editing design tables and have successfully got all of the configurations. Unfortunately, when I put the part in the toolbox and begin to use it the behavior is weird.

When I drag the part in from the toolbox it automatically sizes it to the "PreviewCFG", which I have no where in the design table. When the part is inserted into the assembly it gives a drop down of all the configurations. When the part is drag-copied I get a drop down similar to the one in the Configuration Publisher SW preview.

I have used the sldsetdocprop.exe to change the state of the document both in and out of the folder it is being kept in.

My VAR suggested to destroy all of this work and just rip Standard Toolbox parts, but that seems like a waste when there are about 200 parts with about 100 configs each and a large portion of the parts aren't in the standard libraries.

Does anyone know a work around to this?

Thanks,

Keith
