Hot and Cold Bending of ASTM F1554 rods

Hot and Cold Bending of ASTM F1554 rods

(OP)
Can anyone offer the requirements of ASTM F1554 for hot and cold bending round bars.  Does the spec. give minimum bend diameters that are allowed without reducing the capacity of the steel?  I talked to a fabricator and he said it is no problem to bend a 1" diameter F1554 grade 55 into a 6" radius, but I am worried that it will lose strength in the process of bending.
Thanks,
Grivas

RE: Hot and Cold Bending of ASTM F1554 rods

The specification allows cold or hot bending.  I don't see a minimum bend radius specified, but minimum cross-sectional area after bending is specified.
