Cant save new orientation views?

Cant save new orientation views?

(OP)
Hi All,
I had some issues with an assembly, actually two separate, whereby I would get a cant save/corrupt file message. Forwarded to VAR then SW Developement who "fixed" the bug(?). Something to do with the configuration manager. Now in the returned assembly. I cannot save new orientation views. Newly named view do not show in the orientation box(spacebar). Works in other assemblies.

RE: Cant save new orientation views?

Sounds like something is definitely jacked-up with that file.  Have you tried inserting that assembly into a new assembly?

I agree. I create a new assembly and insert this one and can save views.

RE: Cant save new orientation views?

After inserting the corrupt assy into the new assy, use the Dissolve Sub-assembly option and Save as the original assy.

NOTE: You may have to re-create any feature patterns or assy features which had been created in the original assy though.

That'll work, just will lose all patterns(sigh)
Thanks
