AutoCAD wish list

AutoCAD wish list

RE: AutoCAD wish list

So your wishlist item is for AutoCAD to become AutoCAD Map 3D? ponytails

I don't understand what you mean.

My wish was for:

"Provide an easy tool to link database data to attributes in blocks, allow a single property to filter the database query and have multiple attributes populated from the query ->error-less creation of title blocks using ERP data for customer drawings."

RE: AutoCAD wish list

AutoCAD Map 3D has a structured query language built in and could do that.

I'm in mechanical engineering so I wouldn't use Map 3D, but if it can do that then great, should be easy for them to transfer it to normal AutoCAD smile

RE: AutoCAD wish list

I wish it worked as easy as TurboCad

Why would you be learning an ancient program like AutoCAD for Mechanical Engineering?  You should be learning a modern 3D CAD program like Autodesk Inventor for what you want to do.

Students can download Inventor for free from http://www.autodesk.com/edcommunity
