Piping material for process vacuum system

Piping material for process vacuum system

Piping material for process vacuum system

(OP)
What is the material typically used for interior and exterior process vacuum piping (NOT cleaning vacuum)? The vacuum pump is rated at 28" Hg, and the piping should be strong enough to handle 28" Hg. negative pressure.

Does anyone know any reference book for process vacuum system design?

Thank you in advance!

RE: Piping material for process vacuum system

Hi,
Normally we used galvanized iron (SGP)pipes for PV system. For 65A and above we used welding type and thread type for below 65A.

Schedule 40 steel pipe works well too.
