High temperature magnet wire

High temperature magnet wire

High temperature magnet wire

(OP)
I am lookig for magnet wire 20 awg copper to run continuously over 400 deg C, 900 F. at 300 V AC.

I need a thin coating like on traditional enamelled wire so that I can wind it into a tight coil.  Polyimide insulation is only rated for 240 C continuous use.

I am considering ceramic coated wire which is good for the temperature but may be sensitive to moisture which may be a problem.

Any help welcome.

Thanks

RE: High temperature magnet wire

Take a look at wire wrapped with a fiberglass braid.  A number of companies make them, Radix wire is one I've used in the past.
